Remarks I'm a meteorologist for the National Weather Service Forecast Office in Lincoln IL. I saw the meteor right before launching my 12Z weather balloon. This is the first time I have seen anything like this. Sure wish I would have taken a picture, but didn't get a chance. I was monitoring Twitter when I got back in the office, to see if others saw it. I found a youtube link of the meteor. They are asking it not be broadcast, but thought you might like to see it... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGlkFP0ER-4&feature=youtu.be&a
