| Remarks | I was observing with my partner, Mark Strollo. We had binoculars and a telescope out. We had just started observing with the binoculars while waiting for the scope to power up. In between our first and second object, we were naked eye observing when we saw the fireball. We are members of two astronomy clubs. We have both observed fireballs before. This was the brightest and clearest either of us had seen. My first fireball sighting a few years ago got me started on amateur astronomy. Mark has been observing for 50+ years. There was a definitive flash just before it went below our line of sight. Came from between Regulas and M44. |
