Reports Report 1178bn (Event 1178-2023)

Observer
Name Joel L
Experience Level 2/5
Remarks As we were driving home on a country road we looked to our left (west) at the moon and then saw the meteor heading in that direction. Initially we thought it was shooting star but then noticed a very obvious fireball with a long tail. We watched it long enough to discuss whether a shooting star but then realized it was a meteor! Lost sight of it as it went over a ridge. Didn't seem like it was particularly high in the sky.
