Reports Report 1529ck (Event 1529-2023)

Observer
Name David E
Experience Level 2/5
Remarks For an instant while looking up at Orion I noticed a white streak of a shooting star above and was shocked that it turned amber yellow and then the front became very bright green, glowing like a firework from a distance (but it was not a firework) and the green disappeared a bit above the roof height of houses across the street. I would never have expected to see something so vivid or colorful and have only ever observed white streaks in meteor showers in the past. It would not have shocked me if someone reported they found some fragment a town or two away as it seemed so low and big.
