I have seen shooting stars this was far closer, larger, and lower in altitude it moved very slow and left no smoke

When I first observed it there was barely a trail but as altitude decreased it quickly left a trail of debri as it fell until the object completely fell or was no longer burning up. It had to have fallen only a few miles from me as it was very low in the sky
