I was driving north at 55 mph on a beautiful clear night right after a great Mac Powell concert and this shooting star was a glorious green quetip head with the orange tail half the length of a quetip shaft. The cinder head was the same width if a quetp shaft, probably thicker than a quetip shaft tho. The trajectory was very flat with less than a 10 degree angle. People further north into Michigan and Canada might have seen an even better display. This was perhaps one of the closest thickest shooting stars I've seen in 58 years and the green and orange color's were very vibrant but on the darker side. I'd guess there was a good amount of copper burnoff going on to get that color or some other similar metalic content. The thickness would also compare to that of an average Sharpie marker tip. Great website you have here... thanks!
