Remarks I am an observational scientist. This event was traveling WWSW to EENE, flared, dimmed, then flared again as it broke up. Was spectacular. I checked for satellite re-entries and noticed none. It was in the area of the Kennedy Space Center, where I work.

Remarks Two fragmentation events observed, first almost like a split into to two very proximal bodies traveling same path, then immediately a multiple breakup into several much smaller pieces from main body that deviated slightly from path and burned out
