Remarks | I was shocked enough by seeing this to check out your web-site and was happy to see that others have reported this. The object was falling nearly straight down but slightly up left to down right from my north-westward viewing angle. My wife saw it too. I highly doubt that it was a fire work because when it fragmented the size of pieces were not uniform, nor did it explode. However, we did not see the start of the trail - it entered our field of view from above the windshield. Like others my wife and I swear it must have been a few thousand yards from us (e.g. over Stafford Springs, CT), but I see others saying something similar about an object in southern NH and Massachusetts - so I do not trust our concept of how far the object was from us. |
