Reports Report 7224b (Event 7224-2022)

Observer

Experience Level 4/5
Remarks I ventured out to a historic farmstead ruins site thinking it would be a great location to grab some pictures with the Orinids meteor shower in the background. I set up my camera and within couple minutes I saw this fireball. It was very bright despite coming from the same direction as the closest source of light pollution. It was my first fireball capture on camera so that made it exciting. I suspect it won't be that easy in the future. I only saw the beginning of the fireball and the tail. I did not see the termination of the fireball or any fragmentation only because my view of the horizon was obscured by a brick wall. You can see that in the picture.
