| Remarks | I have seen and reported meteors in the past and this one was odd. It looked like a high altitude illuminated white line that was constant in width, length and brightness from beginning to end, similar to a contrail but it stayed the same length appearing many miles long and the entire line moved, rather than a fading contrail, then the entire line gradually became more dim and it faded out of view (similar to how satellites look after dusk as they move further away from you). I'm not real sure its a meteor but I cant think of what else it could be. I looked for and saw no navigation lights, which I could see on other aircraft at high altitude in the area. The sky was very clear. |
