Reports Report 9455b (Event 9455-2022)

Observer
Name Sean J
Experience Level 2/5
Remarks I know more than the average person does about astronomy (and frankly most scientific matters, not that I’m an expert, maybe I just have been around poorly educated people too much in my life lol) and such, but I’m a novice and wasn’t stargazing at the moment — in fact I was just driving on the Interstate and sort of gazing ahead and it appeared to sort of the north-northeast of my then north facing vision field on the interstate I-49, and it was of such a striking nature that I couldn’t not see it lol. Luckily no cars were really nearby at the moment, and it only lasted a brief amount of time, and again it did get a very noticeable amount larger at the end of its appearsnce before then very quickly fizzling out/disappearing.

Terminal flash
Observation Yes
Remarks It got its brightest and biggest towards the end of its maybe 2-3 second duration when it emitted the weird bluish green and slightly orange colors and disappearing. I didn’t think of it as an explosion or bright terminal flash/explosion but now after reading you putting it that way in this question, I’ve realized that that is a good way to describe what seemed to happen.
