Reports Report 1852m (Event 1852-2013)

Observer
Name Allan W
Experience Level 4/5
Remarks I was hosting a star party at Caspers. I was demonstrating the constellations (laser pointer) when the fireball streaked in at about 70 degrees or so above Saturn and Arcturus headed toward Ursa Major. All of the park visitors saw the event (except for one lady who was in a folding chair, with her back to the event). It fragmented into (at least) three (3) pieces (maybe more) and quickly spread into an arc-like tiara that quickly burned out (leaving a very brief halo where it burst apart). I've seen "splitters" before, but this was the most dramatic.
