Reports Report 8057t (Event 8057-2022)

Observer
Name Shaun M
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks I observed this fireball from flight AA5999 at 16,000ft altitude when the flight was roughly at coordinates 40.6541, -76.7599. The fireball appeared to terminate at a similar altitude to the plane, but it was 10-20 miles to the port side. I think it came down between Elizabethville and Harrisburg, because the final flash looked like it was in front of cloud cover over Harrisburg. The Moon and Jupiter were in the same field of view and provided a reference for the brightness of the terminating flash (which was briefly mush brighter than the moon).
