Reports Report 7762z (Event 7762-2022)

Observer
Name Mark S
Experience Level 2/5
Remarks It was cool. Like a shooting star but much bigger and more intense. I googled it and there do not seem to be other sightings, which I find odd, because it was so bright it made me look up quickly.

Remarks -
Terminal flash
Observation Yes
Remarks My head was down and I was walking my dog and saw a bright light in the sky that made me look straight up and the flash was still there, and from that flash what I think was a meteor, that shot out of the flash with a tail. Lasted about 1 to 1.5 seconds. Travelled east to west and was directly above or just in front of me. Very impressive .
Fragmentation
Observation Yes
Remarks The tail had traces of arcing that looked like they were sputtering and burning up away from the tail.
