Remarks 'I got an A in Astronomy' and this is not the first I have observed. I observed the September 2001 (?) in Black Rock Desert, which was huge and long lasting and breaking up. I also recall one over the Pacific maybe around 2010 or 2011, from Pescadero it was straight over the Pacific. Tonight, I was lying down prone with a huge window parallel to SFD (watching the World Series Game 1) and it appeared in the dark section of window facing North. I said, 'Holy Shit! Did you see that!? And jumped up and opened the window shouting, asking if anyone else saw that, like some kind of crazy person. But I know what I saw. It was concerning because it was most certainly comin' in hot, and of course here in California the concern is fire. I weighed the options of sounding irritating and crazy before deciding to report it to the police because maybe it could have landed in a populated or wooded area with dry combustible material. But with all this space junk flying around up there in orbit, I anticipate this occurrence to become more regular. I just had to tell you all that. Thanks for listening. Oh, also, it's lucky that it happened tonight because it's been so clear and cold at night, making for very clear celestial sphere viewing and visual access to everything beautiful up there for the majority of the week. Before that, it was many days of foggy nights.
