Where I work has almost zero atmospheric lighting from surrounding light sources and can see the milkyway galaxy with my naked eye on a clear night (i also have photos from this location from a phone camera) and I see meteors "shooting stars" every night from the North of me primarily and South secondly. Due to no visual obstruction. Clear line of sight for many miles southbound.

Imagine lighting a sparkler and moving it fast. The smoke that is left behind is thin and dense but dissipated quickly. Or like a firework exhaust trail.

Remarks
It was a bright flash, this is what drew my attention

Remarks
Broke into 3 pieces half way through the burn up. Large one in the centre, second largest to the right and continued further down that the main bulk and a small part to the left burned up quickly
