Reports Report 7260d (Event 7260-2022)

Observer
Name George F
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks 10/23/2022 Approximately 0400-0401 Clear skies. Northern to Southern slight trajectory. Very fast approach. Intense and noteworthy so I immediately looked for a way to report. 53449 N Main St, Mattawan, MI 49071 I was on security duty at Kalamazoo Freightliner. While on post at the main gate I happened to be looking north at precisely 0400 to 0401 and at the blink of an eye saw a "fireball." It appeared to land very close-by from its trajectory and angle that I was able to quickly view. I have an alarm on my phone set to go off every hour on the hour for my hourly "wellness check" when I call into my dispatch to check in. I was standing outside of my patrol vehicle and stretching my legs. I looked up to witness the event. I also and had one single tree off to my right side which immediately helped with accurate reference point and bearing. Unfortunately, I am located too close to the highway so I cannot confirm and audible reportable event. While stretching my legs the alarm on my phone sounded in my vehicle behind me which confirms the time frame.
