| Remarks | I was standing in the street, talking to a PGE lineman who was restoring service to the neighborhood (he saw it too), the fireball emerged from behind a 2-story house (from south to north) and disappeared behind two very tall deciduous trees, so I don't know how long it was visible to an unobstructed view. It was an actual ball about the width of a quarter-moon, maybe slightly more, and had a thin tail that lost brightness quickly. |
