lying in bed and a light like a huge spot light caused me to open my eyes and I saw a huge bright yellow oval in the sky that was dropping and then had a tail below it. It was out to the west almost due west from my bedroom and I could see it disappear as I look over water (i.e. it did not go behind a land form) but it was liked it exploded but had a streak that continued below it.
