Remarks Was on Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas sitting out on my balcony that was on the port side of the ship as we were rounding the tip of Cuba. I was taking pictures of the clouds because the moon was so bright and was watching the lighthouse in the distance (I have those pictures and a picture of my Google Maps location because I wanted to remember where I was when I took the pictures). Even though I had my phone in my hand, I didn't get any photos of the meteor as it happened just too quickly. I was looking down at my phone reviewing the pictures I had just taken when a bright white light lit up not just my balcony but the entire side of the ship and the ocean around us; it was so MUCH brighter than the full moon. At the time I thought something had exploded so my head automatically snapped up just fast enough time to briefly catch it. It moved so slowly across the sky (it was a fairly short track) that I was kind of momentarily stunned. FYI, the ship is covered in cameras. They may still have video of it if you care to follow up.
