Remarks Only once in my life have I observed a meteor this prominent and that was at 6 in morning in winter of 87 driving to work.

Remarks a glowing trail about 10 to 15 degrees behind the fireball. much brighter than usual meteor trail.

Remarks It seemed to break up into fragments which glowed yellow then quickly faded to orange than red within about 2 seconds from initial explosion. I got my wife to see it also as she was nearby.
