Remarks The recent news reports seem to be focused on sightings in Scotland & Ireland, but i saw a fireball here in Birmingham (Uk) on the same evening, same time. From my viewing position, i have a panoramic view of Birmingham inner city from my upstairs living-room window. From this position, the fireball appeared approx 4-5 miles away, north of the city. It was ball-shaped with a luminous trail, heading at an angled downwards trajectory and completely disappeared while still on the lower part of the horizon., so i was unable to see if it made an impact on landing. I initially thought it was a damaged helicopter crashing downwards but did not see any exploding impact or crash sound. It was then when I realised that I had just seen a fireball. I've seen fireballs in the past but not this large & so close to the horizon.
