Please note I did not see this with my own eyes but the boom was so loud it shook the house. I reviewed my doorbell camera and you can see a bright flash appear about a second before the boom. It was definitely not a firework, those are much quieter on our doorbell camera. We recently had a lightning strike about 100 yards away and the thunder that followed was still not as loud as the sound in this video. I’ve gone through all plausible scenarios and the only thing that could’ve caused this was either a meteor or a jet flying beyond Mach 1. I live near NAS Oceana but don’t believe this was a jet because of the flash of light and that they never break the sound barrier over land.
