Remarks view was fleeting as it was obscured by neighbours house, both my wife and I saw it while we were out in garden looking for meteors in current shower, we saw several which just looked like moving distant stars (white light) and pointed them out to each other as we spotted them, they were fairly unspectacular, We both saw this instantly and exclaimed What was that! it was spectacular! and yellow/orange (similar to a candle flame colour) and very bright. We first spotted it overhead and it traveled to our right for a couple of seconds before we lost sight of it behind our neighbours house.Wee googled ehat it could be and to us the descriptions matched that of a 'fireball' and then we came across refrences that suggested it should be reported and this website.
