Reports Report 1448a (Event 1448-2013)

Observer
Name Alex F
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks I caught it out of the corner of my eye and then looked up, it was moving relatively quickly and more "down" my field of vision than across. I feel it was traveling mostly east and a little southeast relative to 22nd street and I-88. It's close to the 4th of July so I thought at first it was fireworks, but there was no explosion, it was bright, and moving in the wrong direction. Fireworks don't move that quickly in a "downward" direction and are more wobbly. This is close to the approach paths to O'Hare, but again was much brighter than other aircraft (I saw several so I got a good reference for the brightness). It was also moving much faster than an aircraft and in the wrong direction for it to be landing lights. The brightness also kind of flickered/shimmered. It just didn't feel like an aircraft, I see all kinds around here (fixed, rotary, prop, jet) at various times of day and night.
