Reports Report 4290pb (Event 4290-2022)

Observer
Name Buck W
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks Videos I've seen of this event truly do it no justice. Doorbell cameras aren't designed to focus on things that far away and lack the ability to show the fine details of all the fragments that it broke into. There was a bright flash when it broke apart and I was able to see as many as at least 8 individual trails from the pieces as they continued along the same basic trajectory until burning out. Absolutely amazing event to watch.

Terminal flash
Observation Yes
Remarks It got progressively brighter until it made a large flash, breaking up into multiple pieces that continued to glow as it broke apart. Most amazing thing I've ever seen in the night sky.
Fragmentation
Observation Yes
Remarks It looked like someone shot a commercial-grade firework horizontally from the window of a plane. Truly spectacular.
