Reports Report 4133l (Event 4133-2022)

Observer
Name Debbi C
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks I was sitting on the steps of our pool, talking with my son AJ and his friend Chad, literally looking into the night sky when it appeared... I saw it happen from beginning to end, it was truly a once in a lifetime experience! We listened for any booms, explosions, or noises after it disappeared but it was completely silent from our vantage point. I am hoping someone caught it on video and shares it- it was an awesome sight to see!

Persistent train
Observation Yes
Duration 3s
Length 13°
Remarks We could see the smoke trail directly behind the fireball in the sky, at least 3x longer but much thinner than the fireball itself, which was bright white. At first I thought it was a huge plane on fire crashing to Earth but it literally disappeared after a brilliant flash.
Terminal flash
Observation Yes
Remarks Oh yeah we did... The front of the fireball was much brighter and more rounded than that of the long "burning flame-like" trail attachment to it. By the time I said, "Ohhh my God, What?.... WHAT IS THAT?" while pointing to the sky, we saw a burst-like explosion and then it disappeared. Literally, it disappeared in mid-air! That's when I thought out loud, "Ohhh THANK GOD it wasn't a plane!" We were completely stunned by it. I know I've never seen anything like it before.
Fragmentation
Observation No
