Reports Report 3872b (Event 3872-2022)

Observer
Name Sarah C
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks It was much bigger and appeared closer to earth than any shooting star I've ever seen. At first I thought it could be a comet. There wasn't a visible trail but I'd say just a tail as it was moving quickly through the sky. It was much lower along the horizon than a shooting star or meteor. I couldn't sleep and was having a cigarette and it was so bright I moved my gaze from left to right. Unfortunately I was sitting in front of the barn and likely missed the beginning but still watched it decend seemingly toward the earth. I actually listened just in case it was something else. I didn't hear anything. However, I've never seen anything like it. It was moving quickly but not as fast as a shooting star.
