Remarks | My husband also observed this event. We were driving northbound on Hwy 101 just north of Santa Barbara. The sky was pretty light because of the near full moon. The object was almost in front of us over the ocean streaking towards land, but disappeared before it was over land. The object was very bright and started as bright white, became bright red and then bright green before disappearing over the ocean. It only lasted a few seconds. |
