I was out bird watching for owls when I noticed a bright ball of light in the sky. I was able to get it in my binoculars and saw it as it travelled at a shallow angle. To me it did not feel very far away but it was difficult to judge. At first I thought it was a spent firework but the light was very bright and the angle of trajectory and the fact that the light disappeared led me to believe it was a meteor.
