Remarks I was driving when I saw it, the spot I marked on the map as where I was when I first saw it was when I first turned onto Magnolia Ave. in my car. This was the largest & fullest (with a large arch) meteor or shooting star I’ve ever witnessed. It lasted btwn 4-6 full seconds, it was moving with such a beautiful arch, and had a visible tail & the fire ball seemed to get darker/brighter/fuller as it dropped. I was in my car, so I’m not sure if there was any sound associated with it. It was so long & bright, initially I thought that it may actually drop/crash into my neighborhood, and leave behind pieces of a meteor or comet. After witnessing it, I realized that this weekend, (04/22/22-04/23/22) is supposed to be the peak of a meteor shower, but at the time I wasn’t out looking or thinking about meteors or comets. I absolutely love meteor showers & shooting stars, and have spent time outside during the summer months star gazing. This was unlike any shooting star I’ve ever seen before, it seemed to be much lower in the sky, way way lower than the other stars! It looked like something you would see as a special effect in a movie! The arch of it & the way it dropped out of the sky was beautiful!
