Reports Report 2271fx (Event 2271-2022)

Observer
Name Clover S
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks It started dim and looked smaller, I thought it was a plane at first, then got bright and bigger. Recalling specifics is hard. I believe it was about 6-7 seconds. Definitely not something I’ve seen before. It took about 2 seconds for me to recognize it was special and to ask “what’s that” and the four people with me who then looked were all shocked and able to see it. All agreed it fragmented off. A moon halo appeared a while later. Not exactly sure of the fireball time. Could have been a little earlier. Between 8 and 9:15 pm CST for sure.
