Reports Report 2127f (Event 2127-2022)

Observer
Name April S
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks I was inside and knew thunderstorms were likely that day as well as being within 3 miles of an active stone quarry. Even though I knew it was different from either of those it did not enter my mind it was something else until I read other reports from farther north and west of here. Felt it was important for me to report since there were no reports from Ripley county as of yet.

Remarks I heard more than seen it. It was like the stone quarry up the road had blasted at the same time a bolt of lightning hit within a mile. I seen the flash through a window with curtains closed about 3 seconds before hearing the boom which I knew was more than blasting because it shook the building I was in and knocked a few things onto the floor.
