I am an atmospheric scientist and have seen dozens of meteor showers, but have never seen a fireball in real life. I would like to know if any other citizens in the coastal area of South Carolina submitted a report. Thank you!

A glowing trail or tail followed the fireball as it was higher in the sky. The trail went away as it got closer to the horizon.
