An extraordinary siting whilst walking home down an unlit country lane in a dark sky area. Directly in front of us arcing from a north easterly direction. Witnessed by me and my husband. Seemed very low and near. Some local very white flashes in a field afterwards to the south west but not sure what the cause of this was, flashing lights lasted about ten to fifteen seconds. I thought it might have been a farmer using spotlights in a field for some reason but then it stopped
