We see a lot of falling stars from time to time and also meters occasionally, but this was so out of the ordinary that both my husband and I let out an exclamation at the same moment. It did not last long but we have never seen anything like this. The ball became so big so fast and then the fire started to appear behind it. At first we were both startled because we thought it was a plane coming down and crashing. It was frightening and took us a bit to settle back down. We were just turning onto our road coming home late that evening so we didn't report on hearing anything.

Remarks
It looked like a falling star at first then the front of the object became very bright and expanded in size into large white ball with a long orange red fire tail coming from behind, it was very quick then died out and went black
