Reports Report 982at (Event 982-2013)

Observer
Name Nat D
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks Neatest thing I've seen in the sky. I saw both the NOVA about the Russia fireball in Feb 2013 and saw a short video at Smithsonian Nat. History Museum last month. This resembled fireball video from Fairfax VA( or maybe it was Fairlee VT?) shown at museum. Fireball was clearly flaming and had long tail. I lost site of it behind a large (50 ft tall pine). I did not have a watch and was sleeping outside looking up at stars. I had estimated it occurred about 30 minutes to 1 hour before moon rise, but revised my estimate of the event to about 3 a.m. EDT given other sightings at that time posted on this website.
