| Remarks | The meteor exploded into fragments and the trail glowed briefly as it exploded. I saw perhaps 3-5 fragments break up and disappear. The sky did NOT seem to light up, but I was under a street light, so I may have not have been able to notice if it did. |
| Terminal flash | |
|---|---|
| Observation | Yes |
| Remarks | The streak lasted a 2-3 seconds, followed by an explosion that featured 3-5 fragments, and then a wider streak for 5-7 seconds that dimmed as it burned up. |
| Fragmentation | |
|---|---|
| Observation | Yes |
| Remarks | 3-5 smaller fragments broke off with the main remnant. Perhaps what appeared to be sparks that may have been other smaller fragments. About 20 seconds later I saw another small streak going a totally different direction which I am unsure was part of the same object or just a coincidence. |
