Reports Report 8291a (Event 8291-2021)

Observer
Name Katherine M
Experience Level 2/5
Remarks The meteorite/fireball came out of nowhere as me and my fiancé were driving east on 72, he saw it as well. It seemed to appear out of nowhere and was immediately beside us right about the tree line for 3-4 seconds before it disappeared into the trees. I have seen shooting stars before but I have never experienced one that low before, it genuinely frightened both of us but we did not hear any sounds of impact. I do not remember if it was 5:45 p.m. exactly because we were both kind of shaken, I didn’t think to take down the time until a few minutes later so this is my estimate. Hopefully more people report!
