Reports Report 7540ng (Event 7540-2021)

Observer
Name Alex M
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks I was photographing the night launch of the SpaceX Crew 3 mission launched from Kennedy Space Center at 9:03 pm on 11 November 2021. The attached image was taken after the rocket launch as an additional 'practice' image to fine tune the exposure for future reference. I was not aware that a fireball had occurred until after I observed the image on my camera. The image is a 64 second exposure, so I don't know the precise time of the fireball event. The streak of the one-half moon is present at the right side of the image, and short star trails are also present.
