Remarks I was at my girlfriends ground flat having a cigarette on the balcony when suddenly from my left came a bright torqoiuse coloured bright light. Shaped like a classic meteor and it seemed close and only a few thousand ft in the sky, if that. It travelled very quickly and was large. It made no sound. The sky was overcast and i could see the blanket of grey clouds. This thing was way below that cover of cloud. It was gone after a second or so. It was bright and after googling the colour saw it was a magnesium composition. I always thought comets break up way before getting that close to earths surface. There is a military base behind the flat and wonder if its anything to do with them.
