Experience Level 1/5
Remarks I do star gaze from time to time but I would not consider myself an astronomy buff. As stated previously, the first flash lit up my backyard and the yard behind my house and threw shadows from my next door neighbors tree onto the back of the house behind me. Bright, bright, bright white light. Second flash was faster but also bright white. Questions 6 and 8 regarding horizon could not be answered or answered correctly. Could not move horizon line to proper degree (sorry). It did not appear to be following the curve of the earth but was flying straight on; it was moving fast. From my vantage point though, it was above a two story house and to the south. The episode was unsettling but I knew it wasn't a plane or helicopter going down It was too far up in the sky for a plane crash.

Terminal flash
Observation Yes
Remarks I'm really not sure what "terminal" means regarding this meteor, but it flashed twice; first flash was 3-4 seconds, enough to light up my backyard and throw shadows from neighbors tree onto the back of the house behind me. This is what made me look up to the west. I thought it was electrical transformer on top of telephone pole behind my house. The second flash was much quicker. Both flashes made me think of a giant strobe light.
Fragmentation
