| Remarks | Amazing! I have seen many "shooting stars" in my time, but they are late at night, high in the sky, tiny streaks of light. This thing was on the horizon (I watched it while driving, out my front windshield) just after sunset. I had no idea at the time what it was, I was afraid it was an airplane about to crash, but when it ended i thought to myself, I think i just saw a meteor. |

| Persistent train | |
|---|---|
| Observation | Yes |
| Duration | 2s |
| Length | 30° |
| Remarks | The glowing train followed the fireball, then the fireball suddenly enlarged and "blew up" in intensity (I thought something was exploding in the sky), then it suddenly disappeared and then only sparks were left behind it for a second or two. |
| Terminal flash | |
|---|---|
| Observation | Yes |
| Remarks | As I wrote on the previous page, the fireball (I was watching out my windshield while driving; it was visible from the upper left corner of my windshield as i was driving eastbound, and it moved in the same direction i was moving) rocketed across the sky like a huge bright light for a few seconds, then suddenly it grew much much larger in size and intensity and I thought I was about to see an explosion of some kind, but it just suddenly disappeared and left sparks in its wake. |
| Fragmentation | |
|---|---|
| Observation | Yes |
| Remarks | Please see above description. The fireball, after streaking across the sky, "exploded" in intensity then suddenly just disappeared and left sparks in its wake. |
