| Terminal flash | |
|---|---|
| Observation | Yes |
| Remarks | I saw what I thought was a shooting star heading downwards towards the earth's surface, it developed a tail and looked as though it was starting starting burn and was on fire, within a second of that it emitted a large flash, like a bright camera flash in the sky. |
| Fragmentation | |
|---|---|
| Observation | Yes |
| Remarks | After the bright flash, the fireball broke up into approximately 6-8 smaller fragments, these were warmer in colour and seemed to glow orange/red for a second until they fizzled out in the sky, quite close to the earth's surface. It was like an upside down firework. |
