Reports Report 6079d (Event 6079-2021)

Observer
Name Paul M
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks My only remark is of a personal nature: It was the brightest, closest and largest and most definite fireball I have ever witnessed. It just so happened to be a clear crisp Fall evening in Western NY and I will never ever forget the sighting.

Persistent train
Observation Yes
Duration 1s
Length 20°
Remarks The train was brilliantly white, as white and almost as bright as the fireball itself with many smaller fireballs breaking off the entire length though not straying from the train. Imagine a firework immediately after launch leaving a white sparkly trail (minus the smoke) as it climbs but before it explodes, now play that image in your head but imagine the firework was launched from the clouds and pointed towards Earth... that's what the fireball's train looked like!
Terminal flash
Observation No
Remarks -
Fragmentation
Observation Yes
Remarks The fragmentation was bright white and plentiful. It looked almost like a firework being launched with a sparkly trail (without smoke nor an explosion) but unlike a firework it was coming from the sky and headed toward Earth. It fragmented the entire way down until it went below my visible horizon.
