Remarks The speed initially made me think it was a supersonic military jet since it appeared to be moving nearly horizontally, but the flaming fringe, flash at the end, and residual smoke trail made me realize it was a meteor (or a really huge piece of space junk (Chinese rocket size)

Remarks Solid white smoke line that resembled a jet “chem trail” which gradually dissipated. I had time to get my wife’s attention and trace the line horizontally across the horizon before it disappeared.
