| Remarks | it was bright yellow (caught our of the corner of my eye). as I looked up it immediately broke into 4-5 pieces and quickly went out. I listened for around a minute but never heard any delayed booms. With the speed and proximity over my house, at first I thought it was a firework, but then realized that it was much larger and faster moving than a firework and that it must have been high in the atmosphere, and given the west-northwest direction and shallow (45deg) angle, that it must ave been many miles away. But gauging distance with such an object without secondary references is very difficult. |
