Reports Report 1382hv (Event 1382-2021)

Observer
Name Linda T
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks I was driving on Hornbarn Hill Road in Cushing, Maine (which is a private road and did not show up in your map/address) towards the cove and I saw it ahead and to the left about mid point to the horizon. I later walked back to the site I saw it and used a compass app and determined it was at about 318 degrees north west - but I am no expert at a compass. It was very bright and large and moved very quickly across and down at an angle until it disappeared - I think it showed a streak as it moved but no lasting trail. I called my friend's house that I was headed towards (105 Hornbarn Hill Road, Cushing, ME) to tell them but it was gone by the time I got my phone in my hand - I called them at 5:39PM so it was just before that. I think my friends thought I was crazy as I was very excited and did not know what it was and was even more excited to prove to them I was not all worked up about nothing when we saw the news the next day that it was a fireball.
