Reports Report 1786bm (Event 1786-2021)

Observer
Name David F
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks It was as bright as fireworks which I thought it might be at first but it only travelled straight downwards and did not accelerate as a falling object... steady speed. It did vary in brightness over the 2 seconds or so that I observed it.... fairly small and white and then expanded and pulsed in bright green all leaving a smearing tail in the path. It seemed to burn out just barely over the houses that obscured the horizon. I had just spent the last 2 hours out naked-eye observing as the skies were amazing this evening and was on my way home at the time during which I saw a couple of other 'normal' meteors. This was not a 'normal' meteor typical of a meteor shower. I should have looked immediately at my clock to get the exact time.. sorry about that... I was just too amazed by it so my time could be off by 3 or 4 minutes.
