Observation Yes
Remarks Couldn't get pointer to exact location I spotted it but it was moving SE towards SW. from my front window. Couldn't get degree correct but was between about 45 degree and the ground. I saw a vibrant green streak then the explosion as a fragment of a full meteor. A bright green chunk burst into an explosion of vibrant green light, bursting forward, and then downward into the ground. No sound was heard as I was indoors. After the explosion it streaked in a southwesterly direction, then downward to the ground. It appeared to be really closeby, between Loma Verde and the City dump, ir near Silver Acres in Silver City, New Mexico. There was some fragmentation after the explosion as well as during.
Fragmentation
Observation Yes
Remarks Fragmentation occurred during explosion and afterwards.
